Zero Waste Conference, Nov. 5-9. The third annual conference provides the opportunity for campus and community members to exchange ideas, experience and expertise in the practices and systems underpinning the zero waste movement. The conference includes an exciting array of keynote speakers, workshops, forums, and a film screening. As part of the conference, Politics professor Dr. John Meyer will present today on a panel – “Quantity over Quality? Deconstructing a ‘Cheap’ Society” – about the idea of cheapness and what this means within the context of globalized capitalism. See the attached schedule of events for details.


Student Fee Forum, Nov. 6. Students enrolled in 6-plus units a semester pay $967 a semester. Do you know what those fees fund? Learn about the 2018-19 Category II Student Fees at this Associated Students-sponsored forum. Discuss how well fee levels align with student needs.
